DOLOMITICS, LOOK UP, LOOK BEYOND

A mtb race with a strong potential, both from a competitive and environmental point of view, strongly believes in sport as a universal language to communicate other values, such as respect for the environment, volunteering, social commitment, safeguarding the common good.

The many volunteers of the Dolomitica Brenta Bike, one of the most beautiful races in Northern Italy, especially from a landscape point of view, have been engaged for weeks in an extraordinary operation that has taken the name of "Dolomitica Trail Care" for the restoration of the paths upset by the numerous trees felled due to the exceptional bad weather that last October brought the Trentino region to its knees. The trail care project includes a series of promotional and communication actions to raise awareness of everyone, not just bikers, on the value of respecting and safeguarding our paths.

The race will take place on June 30th, starting from Pinzolo. All the trails will have been restored. With great sacrifice, but with a lot of love. That's why everything will be even more beautiful. Two paths, three experiences: Marathon, 62 km, 2400mt of difference in height is the path that leads to the Dolomite peaks; Race, 31 km and 1200mt in altitude, the fast route with passage to Madonna di Campiglio; Ride, the same Race course but dedicated to those who want to enjoy the natural beauty.

Last October, Trentino was hit by an extraordinary wave of bad weather that caused considerable damage to the natural heritage and above all to the forest. In fact, the violence of the wind has demolished large areas of woods throughout the province with disastrous consequences for the whole environment. The paths, caught in the trees that fell under the impetus of the storm, have been literally distorted in their identity.

From a calamitous situation, an extraordinary project was born: the volunteer professionals who are ordinarily involved in a trail care activity in preparation for the race, this year have been called to an exceptional commitment. In fact, for weeks, as soon as the thaw has allowed it, they have been working hard to restore the paths affected by the race courses, with the cutting of fallen trees and the consequent cleaning of the tracks.

This is how a real project was born, “Dolomitica Trail Care”, a series of actions, especially promotional and communication actions, to sensitize everyone, not just bikers, to the value of respecting and safeguarding our paths. The competition thus becomes "only" the motivation to look higher, to look beyond, to give an even deeper meaning to the commitment of a community fabric steeped in voluntary work that wants to responsibly take care of the common good. In this case, the environment. The protection of the territory is communicated with the same passion that these people have for mtb, because there would be no mountain bike without trails, because the trails are our thing as well as what everyone else's and their protection, their care, is a duty. social.

The race will take place next June 30th. All affected trails will have been restored. With sacrifice, but with a lot of love. That's why everything will be even more beautiful.

The 6th edition of the Dolomitica Brenta Bike is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful mtb competitions from a landscape point of view in all of Northern Italy and the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We start from Pinzolo and interpret spectacular tracks in the woods of the Brenta di Madonna di Campiglio. There are two paths. The Marathon of 62 km and 2400mt in altitude is the path that leads to the Dolomite peaks, with an unprecedented passage, as regards the area of Madonna di Campiglio, to Lake Montagnoli, while the one in the most suggestive Monte Spinale area. For those who do not choose the Marathon, there is the Race, 31 km and 1200mt in altitude, the fast route with passage to Madonna di Campiglio and the Ride, the same Race route but dedicated to those who want to enjoy the natural beauty. And obviously the DoloMini dedicated to the little ones on the eve.

All very nice.
